I got my Rottweiller Cross Labrador from the RSPCA a few months ago and just in the last two or three weeks she had been shedding her hair by the bucket load. She only has to brush against something and she will leave a pile of hair behind. I wouldnt be too worried about this but it has only just started to happen and she has also started to get balding patches on her chest.

I took her to the vet after she cut her paw and needed stitches and asked the nurse to investigate to see if this was a problem or merely seasonal etc whilst she was under the anistetic.

when we picked her up the vet told us she thought the reason was the RSPCA kennels from sleeping on the hard floor, i explained we’d had her months already and this has only just started, so she then said it was probably mange but after telling her that i have been giving sally ADVOCATE monthly for at least the past 3 months the vet decided it couldnt be mange as advocate is the treatment….

So what now??? can anyone suggest a REAL vet!!!
But seriously im quite worried that my vet is incapable any ideas what this could be??
